On Thursday, April 28, the Professional Fighters League held the weigh-ins for its second event of the 2021 season from the Ocean Casino in Atlantic City, N.J.
The season’s second fight card features action in the welterweight and light heavyweight divisions. It includes the league debut of former world champion Rory MacDonald, who takes on fellow league newcomer Curtis Millender. Canada's MacDonald hit the mark at 170.6 pounds, with Millender weighing in at 171 pounds for the pair’s main event tilt.
Returning PFL champions Ray Cooper III and Emiliano Sordi will begin their quests to repeat as champions against Jason Ponet and Chris Camozzi, respectively. Cooper tipped the scales at 170.8 pounds, with Ponet making weight at 170.2 pounds. Sordi was also on point at 205.6 pounds and Camozzi weighed 202.8 pounds.
Former light heavyweight finalist Vinny Magalhães was not medically cleared for his match-up with Jordan Young, who successfully made weight at 205.8 pounds. As a result, Jordan Young receives a walkover win and 3 points in the light heavyweight standings.
The nine-fight card kicks off tomorrow night, April 29, with a preliminary card airing live on ESPN+ beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET. The main card will be broadcast on ESPN 2 and ESPN Deportes starting at 9 p.m. ET.
