The two welterweights had to endure some shuffling on the card due to the ongoing weather issues but that didn’t stop both men from putting on an exciting performance. Joao Zeferino came out and looked to take control of the fight by utilizing his Brazilian jiu-jitsu game. Zeferino controlled the pace of the fight early on but Terrado came roaring back in the final moments of the first frame to possibly steal the frame on the judges’ scorecards.
The second round was all Herman Terrado‘s as the Guam-born fighter threw heavy leather and stunned his opponent multiple times. He controlled the action by staying in Zeferino’s guard for much of the second round and landed some heavy ground strikes. As the fight headed to third round, many fight fans felt it was 1-1. Both men looked exhausted due to the nature of the fight combined with the Florida humidity. Terrado would prove to be the fresher fighter as the minutes wore on. His cardio would wind up earning Terrado a split decision victory in his Professional Fighters League debut.
