Michelle Montague had to overcome a pair of leg breaks between 2016 and 2019 before going on to win the 2019 and 2020 IMAAF-WMMAA Tournament championships on the amateur scene. Montague also is a former multi-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu in New Zealand and represented the country in wrestling at the Wrestling World Championships and Commonwealth Games. Montague competed on the PFL Challenger Series twice, submitting Olivia Parker in 2022 and Shaquita Woods in 2023. She then submitted Abigail Montes in a Showcase bout during last year’s PFL Playoffs and most recently submitted Karolina Sobek at Bellator Dublin in June.
Marilia Morais started her professional MMA career in 2018 with three straight victories, which saw her score two knockouts and a submission. Morais, a multi-time Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion, then had a five-year layoff from the sport, which included three canceled bouts, before returning in a loss to Rebecca Evans in July 2023.
